David Green
It is more than four years since you honoured me by electing me a Labour District Councillor for Ramsgate Eastcliff Ward. I think it appropriate that I reported to you some of the activities I have been involved in on your behalf. I have listed some of the achievements that have occurred recently that I believe I have contributed significantly to. In many of these I have had the help of my fellow ward councillors, council colleagues and Eascliff residents.
I've worked out that I have held over 50 of my monthly surgeries since being elected. Through these and other contacts I have tried to help many hundreds of residents with personal problems with Thanet Council or other bodies. This can be the most frustrating but also rewarding aspect of being a District Councillor according to what can be achieved in individual situations.
I would like to draw your attention to the "More to do" section accessed from the main page, because there are exciting prospects for further real improvements to the Eastcliff area if more of us work together on these projects. Quite rightly, funders look for real community involvement in projects before they agree to support improvement schemes. I would welcome contact with any of you willing to offer your support for what I and many others are trying to acheive for the area.
